Drunkenly tottering older female yank, Bond orchestra style horns and drums, a tribe of Germans, a polite Polish couple, and a Brit in an Hawaiian shirt that's bordering on obscene.
The Brit's pouring gin Martinis, the yank's complaining that she's come out the wrong night to see the full moon. The four year old German girl is chasing geckos and clamouring for wasser. Can't blame her, it's hot. A radio controlled Mini is under the control of her older brother.
This mayhem is going on in my guesthouse's café. It's a satisfying end to a day that featured a short but rather hot and underfuelled ride. I was only on the move for about three hours, but I was wrongfooted spectacularly by my Chanthaburi guesthouse whose staff had promised 'food in the morning' only to leave me empty handed when morning arrived.
Had a minor dog chase today too, albeit one easily shaken off. The odd thing about it was the the owner seemed to call out the dog, perhaps knowing that a nice bike chase would give the hound some exercise and save her having to walk it later. I'm sure there will be more.
