Met Tom in Llandudno Junction after a short panic when he didn't pick up the phone.

Quick half at the Old Station Hotel. Roll out ~5.30pm. Steady progress over to Betws-y-coed where we paused for Tom to take on some groceries.

East on the A5 took us to Pentrefoelas where we branched south. Fear for a place to stay grew as the clouds gathered and the day drew to an end.

I was just dreaming out loud that after a rise in the land there would be a fine field. A pub, with campsite, came into view, ten quid a pitch. Perfect.
